I feel this needs further explanation
We believe the God Ordained
role of women in Church is not to lead men, but to other women
and Children. We will
therefore issue Ministry Charters to women to go and teach other
women and Children in their ministry. 1 Corinthians 14: 34-35,
1 Tim. 5:2, Titus 2:4. [Gen. 3:16. tells us this, "Unto
the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy
conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy
desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over you."
To rule over does not mean to oppress in any way. It means
to be under the mans leadership in a Church setting as well as
at home].
The woman's role is no less
important than of the mans in the Church as well as at home, but each role is different and God
ordained it this way from the very beginning. In Biblical
times the wife took care of complete household responsibilities
and the raising and teaching of the children, and the teaching
of her daughters and daughter-in-laws and other women in her
community. She did this of course in counsel with her husband.
The man of God knows that he is to love his wife as the Lord
loves the Church. That means he must give her his utmost respect
and listen to the suggestions and advice his wife might give.
This is true as well in the church. Men Church leaders are to
do the same with women "being silent in church" means
God does not want woman to teach men in a church setting. They
can however hold women's Bible studies, lead church music, sing
in special music, teach children Sunday school and many other
opportunities.
My wife helps me teach the
Bible in our nursing home ministry praise and worship services
because the majority of people there are women. She leads worship songs and reads and
explains Bible scripture between the songs. TCOLW has independent
Ministers that go into nursing homes, Women's prisons, and other
settings that are primary women gatherings to preach the Gospel
of Jesus Christ.
I hope that I have made our
belief clear that role of men and women are equal to God. One
is not more important than another. We charter this way because
it is the way God commands it to be.
